This model is the first version of this model that was built. All mahogany, without cutaway, built in 1952. Production in those years was very low and very few models from that era are preserved.
The neck is 5 pieces of tiger maple with mahogany, baseball bat style, the fingerboard is ebony with white side purfling, the bridge is also ebony, with a bone saddle.

It has a sweeter and deeper sound than other models.
Cat's eye sound holes and black pickguard. In the early 50's, Hofner and Framus guitars looked very similar, and quite a few models of both brands were made by the same craftsmen.
Originally these guitars were all made of mahogany, including the top, but some later models were made carved from spruce wood.
