This guitar is built with the highest quality solid woods, and handcrafted,
It was built in the town of Mittenwald (Germany), well known for the high quality of the instruments that were built there.
It is a very refined instrument of the highest category. The top and back are made of two symmetrical pieces glued together, with a central rod on the back, and a ladder braced ring for the top.
The top is spruce, with curly maple back and sides. The rim and soundhole trim is inlaid wood.
The bridge is made of ebony, with ebony pins, with inlaid mother-of-pearl. Scale of 62 cms. The frets are original reconditioned, round and shiny.
The tuning machine is mechanical, probably one of the first, and looks like the original.
The nut is made of ebony wood. The saddle is a bronze metal fret.
The sides and back are made of solid maple wood and the neck is also made of maple wood. The pin at the end of the body is also made of ebony.
The guitar is fully operational, solid and tuned well with a great sound, and is strung with nylon strings. but can be used with nylgut, natural gut, silk & steel etc.The height of the first string at the 12th fret is 2mms.
Although it has some small scratches, it is firm and very comfortable to play, tuning well on all frets.It has been inspected internally and externally, taking all the necessary actions to safely recover this impressive instrument.
Some small cracks in the lid have been sealed with full guarantee and minimal invasion, so as not to modify the varnishes or its appearance.
