Parlor guitar "Staufmann style" (1900) Austria

This guitar is built with solid woods, in an artisanal way.

It was probably built in Germany, most likely before 1900.
The top is made of spruce with a one-piece curly maple back, the sides are also curly maple with a special grain. The rim and soundhole decorations are made of mother-of-pearl on ebony.
The bridge is ebony wood, and the fingerboard is pear wood, the pins are ebony with mother-of-pearl or bone inlay.

The frets are uncrowned silver plates, (these were the first frets used) and are reconditioned and working perfectly.
The headstock is mechanical, probably one of the first,
The nut is made of rosewood and has no 0 fret. Scale length: 62 cm.
The sides and back are made of solid maple wood and the handle is also made of maple wood, and is straight and firm.
The guitar is fully operational, solid and tuned well, with a great sound,

It has some small cracks that have been professionally repaired.

It is strung with nylon strings, but can be used with nylgut, natural gut, etc.

The height of the first string at the 12th fret is 2.3 mm.
Although it has some small scratches, it is firm and very comfortable to play, tuning well on all frets.

It has been inspected internally and externally, taking all the necessary actions to safely recover this great instrument.
