Hofner 449 model (1958)

Model 449 built in Germany. All maple construction, with rosewood fingerboard and bronze frets. Original stained maple bridge. 64.5 cm scale, with cutaway.

This guitar is a little smaller than its sisters the 450, 455, 456, etc. Although it maintains the same scale length of 64.5 cm, it has a very direct and powerful sound.

The fingerboard is made of pear wood, the frets are bronze, like new, without marks, polished and shiny. All original parts.

They are rare and hard to find guitars, as there was not much production.

The height of the strings (0.11) is very comfortable to play, 1.6 mm for the first string at the 12th fret.

Its general condition is very good. It has been completely revised and is firm and comfortable to play. With a great sound, tuning well in all positions, without buzzing or frets.
