Hofner 450 model (1959)
Model 450 from the late 1950s, built in Germany,
Built entirely of maple, with a pearwood fingerboard and a tinted maple bridge. It has a 64.5 cm scale.
This model was marketed through Selmer, under the name "Congress" for import to the United Kingdom and the USA.
It is in very good condition, with normal signs of use that are barely noticeable.
It has been fully overhauled and is firm and very comfortable to play. The first string height at the 12th fret is 2 mm, tuning well. Strung with 0.11/52 steel strings.
The 450 models have a very projected and powerful sound, even more so than other higher-end models.
Original bronze frets checked and polished, clean and moisturized fingerboard, with a great sound!
