Hofner 483 model 1962.
Spruce top, solid maple sides, and maple and mahogany laminate for the back. The neck is made of two-piece maple with a rosewood fingerboard.
It has a white plastic binding, unusual in this model. The mark under the bridge and corresponds to the years 1958-62.
The bronze frets have been reconditioned, and are like new, round, polished and unmarked. 62 cms scale. Strung with 0.11 of silk and bronze. Has numerous marks and taps on the varnish.
It has been revised and completely restored. And it is fully operational, working well and very comfortable to play.
"A spruce top with laminated flame maple for the back & sides. The finish was brown all over, but with the back and sides highly polished, and the top matt finish. Celluloid binding (multiple) around the body top and soundhole. This guitar was the same as the 483 Model below, except for the different finish to the body top and possibly the 482 may have had white body binding "
