Hofner 522 model (1950-52)

A very old parlor guitar built in the early 1980s. The entire guitar is constructed of the same material, with a layer of maple on the outside and a layer of mahogany on the inside.

Hofner laminate until 1953 only had two layers of wood, and was thinner than later ones.

Pearwood fingerboard, bronze frets, and tinted maple floating bridge with tailpiece and 0 fret.

The first model that Hofner built with these characteristics began production in 1950. It was not produced in large quantities during these first years.

The Hofner logo was not added to the soundboard until 1953. It has the original vintage headstock, with the small buttons.

It has a 62 cm scale and an extraordinary sound. It's a hard-to-find model.

The original bronze frets are tall, round, and like new, allowing for a good fit and making it very comfortable to play. It is strung with 0.11 bronze.

It has no cracks or fissures, no repairs. Some darker lines visible on the bottom and one side are wood grain.

The neck is straight and stable, all the parts are original, and it also maintains the original varnish .

It has some superficial scratches, but is in very good overall condition, and perfectly functional.
